I was chasing Saratoga a few years back and needed a Damsel Fly Nymph pattern that would sink, stand up to the teeth of a Saratoga and imitated the broad body of this fly. I also needed the fly to suspend over cover and though there are existing patterns similar few offered the flexibility that this pattern does.
